What has happened to our Traditional Values and Decency?
I have to wonder sometimes, over and over again the question comes to me. what have as a so-called Civilized society, allowed to happen to our most charished traditional values of Morality and dency. We have allowed our brothers and sisters, to become cripples and useless and most of all dependent liabilities on our social safety nets. We have failed them in the worst way.
the people who have many useful and workable skills have been pushed to the side of the road because society says that their "ATTITUDE" is too difficult to deal with, but the society fails to realize that it is partially their own fault for the attitude of these good people because they have been continually shoved to the side and walked on.
If they had an opportunity to better themselves and become productive and contributing membvers within society, then maybe they would not be so negative. there people who have disibilities who are informed that they have a lot against them, well the only thing that is against them is the "ATTITUDE" of the so-callled non-disabled population.
I think that it is high time that there be a level playing field where one is accepted on the basis of their skills if they have skills then put them to work.
there is an old saying I used to hear growing up, it says as follows; give a man a fish, you will feed him for a day, give a man the tools to fish and you will feed him for a lifetime.
